Doris’ Bread Pudding

We have a special treat today. As we are in the middle of the Holiday today’s post should light a fire under you if you are still trying to find that “something” to make for your next get together.

Doris’ Bread Pudding is a VERY special treat. We don’t live near Doris anymore but whenever we are back in Connecticut visiting with our friends we are lucky enough to see Doris and Roger will usually request some Bread Pudding (which she is so kind to make for him).

First let me introduce you to Doris. She is an ultimate entertainer. You will never leave her home hungry. One of my great memories of Doris of course is centered around food. Funny enough it was the first time I had ever had “flavored” coffee. It was a Sunday evening and we were having a “snack”. The coffee flavor was Chocolate Raspberry in addition to some  bagels. I might just add that I think we had 3-4 bagels a person, which when you get to know Doris you know that along with her wonderful hospitality she will always make more food than you can ever eat.

Her Bread Pudding is no exception. There is always plenty of it.

Doris, thank you so much for letting us come into your kitchen today and sharing this amazing recipe.

Please be sure to let us know what you think of this recipe.
